Item 291 vs Item 296 - What's the difference?
Both are initial consultations of 60 minutes, but they apply to different treatment pathways.
Item 291 - applies when Dr Wardrop sees you for a single psychiatric assessment and your GP then takes over your ongoing care, using the recommendations from the assessment to guide your treatment going forward.
Item 296 - applies when Dr Wardrop will be continuing to see you for ongoing follow-up appointments after the initial consultation
